Dr. Siahrostami's group is part of Canada First Research Excellence Fund (CFREF) for its initiative entitled: “Global Research Initiative in Sustainable Low Carbon Unconventional Resources” and is located at University of Calgary Research Park, which is the home of Calgary tech and energy companies, including SMART Technologies and Computer Modeling Group Ltd.
