Electrochemical CO2 Reduction Reaction

CO2-reduction.jpg

Electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction has emerged as an attractive process for mitigating the negative environmental impact of CO2 as well as producing valuable chemicals and fuels. Currently, the efficiency of this process is low, which is due to the lack of active, selective and inexpensive catalysts. Many catalysts have been proposed and examined in recent years. In particular, carbon-based materials have attracted a great deal of attention for CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR). Our group is in forefront of tuning electronic structure of carbon-based materials for highly efficient CO2RR catalysis.
